OVERALL: cheap, great milo & Indian food!

PENANG pics: Big (cleaner) city with more foot relaxation places. Good (Indian & Chinese)food. Ping Seng hotel was a laugh.. after the police raid in the middle of the night we realised the cheap hotel rooms was a disguise for a brothel..oops.

CAMERON HIGHLANDS: ....strawberry farms galore and cool weather. Must return to Kai's Summer Palace - a very funky Mongolian/Tibetan inspired cafe.

KUALA LUMPUR pics: big but not so clean city, good food (egg tarts...mmmmm) & cheapish massages. Luckily the decor at Wheeler's Guesthouse (fish, lanterns & fake flowers) made up for the Twin towers disappointment.

JUNGLE RAILWAY pics: first leech sighting & trekking in Taman Negara National park (the world's oldest jungle), then attempting to camp before being bombarded with school kids/rain and a scary canopy walk

KUALA TERENGGANU pics: just more ayam goreng, sos chilli and teh tarik with lots of internet cafes (fried chicken, chilli sauce and tea).

CHERATING (click for pics):
Allegedly great beaches and seafood... infact the new hangout
for funky Malay youngsters that are clever (and dignified enough) not to swim in the lice infested waters. Maybe I have had my fill of lazing on beaches for now...

KUANTAN (click for pics):
Walking in the rain after finding a noisy hotel near the local bus station but eventually we found 'Choise' Indian food all around! Taking local buses seems hard core but perhaps it is just stupid...especially when it costs more than the air conditioned express bus!

MERSING (click for pics):
Kiki eating the last of the banana cake at Omar's "self check-in" hostel and phsyching ourselves up to catch local buses...

TIOMAN ISLAND (click for pics):
Although not traditionally aesthetic, this island was amazing. All about relaxation... $6 a night beach front chalets, banana pancakes for breakfast and banana cake all other meals. It has to be a great place when you sleep when it is dark, swim when the sun comes up and eat when you are hungry... should there be more to life??? The perfect place to toast being together three years over a teh tarik.

JOHOR BHARU (click for pics):
Little Malaysian kampung (village) and gorgeous kiddies
(thanks to Aishah http://www.couchsurfing.com/people/LADYASHLY).
Daisy's great cooking and teh tarik (tea with condensed milk) mmmm!
