Checking out Kathmandu, gorgeous old city amongst all the usual city trappings. Swayambunath was well worth exploring & a visit to Dakshinkali meant Pete came home with a goat's blood blessing on his forehead.

Met Pete's Nepali family from his days teaching here 13 years ago.

Went paragliding - nothing to be feared, just "run, run, run" then "sit, sit, sit" and "look, look, look" as put by Pierre my French co-pilot and for those of you that really read this... we had a Nepali wedding at a temple.

Somehow Pete managed to get me to trek for a week, despite pleas to stop after 2 hours uphill.... no signs in mountains of unrest despite a pending Maoist victory with the election.... just people walking to their local voting station - a mere 5-10 hour trek. So far, clean toilets, streets & air - amazing. Shame I can't walk around now, my legs are excruciatingly sore.... nothing a little paragliding shouldn't fix! I've always dreamt of flying...
